Nate has been a licensed public adjuster since 1956, and was associated with several New York Public Adjusting Co's in 1972. He formed MAB in Los Angeles. His half century of experience brings with it a thorough and comprehensive knowledge in the field of insurance adjusting. Nate's specialties are large loss, commercial and residential as well as loss of income and business intervention presentations.GLENN NAHMIAS: Vice President
Glenn joined MAB in September of 1993 after graduating from University of California-San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Like his father, Glenn Nahmias is well-respected in the insurance claims business and is the current VP of CAPIA (California Association of Public Insurance Adjusters). Glenn is licensed in the states of California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. Glenn has established strong business relationships with insurance company’s adjusters that MAB regularly negotiate with, thereby making it easier to settle client claims in a timely and satisfactory manner.
JAMIE KHANG: Director of Operations
Jamie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Jersey Village High School in Houston, Texas and was a member of the National Honor Society. Jamie stared working for MAB in 1983 working her way up to Director of Operations. She has been an asset to the firm for all these years and can tackle most any problem that comes up. She speaks Korean and assists our Korean clients with their insurance claims as well as translations for other MAB staff.
MIGUEL PAEZ: General Manager
For 12 years Miguel has been affiliated with several Southern California public adjusting companies as a Research and Development Specialist. He has been a Public Adjuster since 1996 and joined MAB in March of 2002. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
BILL KELSO: Senior Claims Adjuster
Bill is a recognized consumer advocate that has negotiated hundreds of property and business insurance claims successfully. His professionalism has earned him the respect from his adversaries as a fair-minded yet tenacious public adjuster. He has been a member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association for over 31 years and is sought after by local and State organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, The American Tax Reduction Movement, The Squires Club of Los Angeles, The Salvation Army Harbor Light Recovery Center and the Doctor Lynch Foundation. He was awarded the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year (1986).
PETE KULZER: Senior Claims Adjuster
Pete graduated from Santa Fe Community College, worked for a major insurance company, and accumulated a total of twelve years experience in insurance claims adjusting before joining MAB in March of 2000. Petes former profession as a General Contractor / Builder has given him the expertise to accurately assess and negotiate residental and building claims. This has helped hundreds of our clients get the settlements that they deserve.
NICHOLAS NGUYEN: Senior Claims Adjuster
After obtaining his Business Economic/Finance degree, Nicholas Nguyen worked for large insurance companies of over 15 years and joined Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau back on January 2007 as a Senior Public Adjuster. He has attended numerous insurance industrial continuing education courses to stay abreast of the changes in the insurance industry and successfully assisted clients in handling fire, hurricane, earthquake, flood, fire, water, vandalism and theft claims in the field of residential and commercial property throughout the United States. Nicholas speaks fluent English and Vietnamese and currently licensed as a public insurance adjuster. He is a member of National Association of Public Insurance Adjuster (NAPIA).
Besides work, Nicholas enjoys spend time with his family, play basketball and volleyball and actively involve with the Boys Scout of America.
MICHAEL MCLEAN: Senior Claims Adjuster
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Rochester. He has been in the insurance claims business for ten years joining MAB in December of 2004 and heads our Fresno office.
BARRY REED: Claims Adjuster
Barry spent his youth as a military dependent traveling both domestically and abroad with his family. After graduating from Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek, WA in 1999 he attended the University of WA in Seattle.
In 2004, Barry became a certified property claims adjuster and worked as an independent agent assisting multiple insurance carriers in dealing with large loss catastrophe-level claims. Barry has handled insurance claims ranging from hail, ice, flood, fire, tornadoes and hurricanes.
In 2008, Barry Joined Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau, Inc. As a consumer advocate & licensed public adjuster, Barry now used the experience he gained working for the insurance industry to assist homeowners & business-owners in settling their insurance claims.
JEFFREY S. SHERMAN: Claims Adjuster
Jeffrey grew up in Beverly Hills and attended Beverly Hills High School. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Economics from California State University Northridge and was a member of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. Jeffery has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years as a claim specialist, risk manager and litigation specialist. While working for State Farm Insurance for 15 years, he perfected complete claims handling including litigation. He has also worked for Farmers Insurance, Progressive Insurance and Unitrin Specialty, as well as being the litigation specialist for the country's largest landscaping company ValleyCrest Companies, Inc.
Jeffrey is not only a licensed public adjuster, but also carries a license as a California broker/agent.
SHAKÉ VARTANIAN: Finance Coordinator
Prior to joining MAB in 2001, Shaké worked at Westwood Computers, a past client of MAB, for more than ten years. She is very involved in local Armenian-Persian community charities. Shaké graduated from Echool Novel High School in Switzerland and speaks Armenian, Persian, French and Turkish.
MARC HATTENBACH: Public Adjuster/Sales Representative
Marc graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. Prior to joining MAB in 2004, Marc was with Blue Ship Inventory Service as a Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to spending many years as a regional marketing director for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Mark was a theatrical talent agent.
MARIA PATRICIA VALDERRAMA: Administrative Assistant
'Patty' graduated from Our Lady of Loretto High School. She worked in computer sales for six years before joining MAB in 2005. She also was associated with Univision Television setting airtime for several years being fluent in English and Spanish.
JOSE ARELLANO: Research & Development/Inventory Specialist
In 1992, Jose began working in the insurance industry with a restoration company. In 1994, Jose was recruited by a public adjusting firm to head their Research & Development department where he was also trained to be a Contents Loss Recovery Consultant. In 2006, he joined Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau and he is fluent in Spanish as well.
